The New Center for Holistic Learning NY builds upon the work and legacy of the renowned Open Center, New York’s groundbreaking institution of holistic learning that flourished between 1984 and 2022.
The New Center emerges to cultivate and further the spiritual and ecological consciousness urgently needed in this pivotal time. Open Center co-creator Ralph White is at the heart of this new initiative, which is committed to developing programs of substance, depth and integrity. Our trainings, conferences, workshops, talks and performances aim to offer the sustenance and tools we need to navigate our current moment, envision solutions, learn to repair historical damage and create a more just world.
The New Center is a resource for expanding the creative and regenerative qualities of holistic consciousness that our present era demands.
Our programs go beyond old concepts of endless growth and extraction, and recognize the fundamentalist and materialist impulses that undermine democracy and dignity for all. Yet we also bring together the ideas, practices and cultural expressions that celebrate who we can be, that feed our bodies, hearts, minds and spirits, and equip us to live in greater balance with the natural world to which we belong.
